This week’s course review takes a look at the history and features of this well-known golf facility which is accessible to both professional golfers playing in tournaments and weekend visitors.
Located just outside New Orleans, TPC Louisiana has been an integral part of the PGA Tour since it opened in 2004. Designed by Pete Dye, who was responsible for creating the magnificent course at TPC Sawgrass, the Louisiana course is equally beautiful but designed on a smaller scale.
Golfers who saw the Zurich Classic last week will probably agree that TPC Louisiana is one of North American golf’s most beautifully designed courses. Rolling fairways and perfectly placed water features create many scenic areas on the course, with a parkland setting that could have been taken from an artist’s canvas.
While the course is challenging enough to host a major PGA Tour event, leisure golfers won’t be frustrated by the difficulty level at all – TPC Louisiana makes for an enjoyable round of golf, no matter what your handicap may be. Here are some highlights from the course:
